To pass the 1V0-81.20 exam you need 300 (scaled, range 100–500), and the official registration fee is 125 USD. Since a failed attempt is not discounted — retaking means paying 125 USD in full again — treat the booking as the last step, not the first. Work through the NewPassLeader practice questions until your timed scores sit comfortably above 300 (scaled, range 100–500), and only then lock in your exam date.

The 1V0-81.20 (Associate VMware Security) is the official VMware examination that awards the Associate VMware Security (VCTA-SEC 2021) certification to candidates who pass it. Within the VMware program it is classed as a Associate credential. It sits alongside related certifications such as VMware Certified Professional - Security (VCP-SEC). Because the credential comes straight from the vendor, employers treat it as verified proof of skill — and the 56 practice questions at NewPassLeader follow the same published blueprint.

On exam day you will have 120 minutes to complete 51–55 questions in the 1V0-81.20 exam. Divide your attention deliberately: answer what you know first, mark anything doubtful, and sweep back through flagged items near the end rather than burning minutes on a single question. The best way to defuse time pressure is exposure — schedule at least one full-length timed session in the NewPassLeader test engine so the pacing feels automatic when it counts.

For structured learning, VMware recommends these official courses for 1V0-81.20 candidates:

• VMware Security Fundamentals
• VMware Workspace ONE and Carbon Black Overview
